Most Painful 5:50

I can’t run long distance. I’ve always known that.

And yet when my track coach goes, “Everyone who wants to try the mile, get over here!” I jogged over, thinking, I’ll try it.

GOSH KAYTLIN NEVER TRY ANYTHING YOU’VE ALREADY TRIED. For one, it just doesn’t make sense. For two, it hurts.

We ran the 1400, which is 200 meters short of a mile. I finished in just under 6 minutes, 5:50. I think that was pretty good. My coach yelled, “Nailin’ it, insert-last-name-here!” about every ten seconds and whistled when I finished, so I think I did okay. Maybe.

I kinda hope not, because after I finished I was coughing like some chain smoker with 20 years of emphysema and about to pass out like some diabetic who just ate a pan of rice crispie treats. Maybe that’s over exaggerating, but honestly. Ugh. I am still coughing and my chest and lungs hurt so bad.

If I have to run that at a meet…ew :(

Before practice I had to go get my physical doctor-sports-check thing, and I passed it fine (obviously) except she almost didn’t pass my eyes. I have 20/20 in my right eye, and 20/200 in my left. I couldn’t even see the big E on the chart with my left eye. I kept saying, “I know that’s an E, but…” and the lady laughed at me.

I do not want glasses. I can’t stand anything on my face. And I won’t be able to stand contacts, because I can’t even handle eyedrops. I couldn’t handle eyeliner for the longest time.

So pretty much, I’m done for.

-imagines self running a mile, panting and coughing, with Harry Potter glasses on-

My future seems dimmer by the day :(

(just kidding.)

Eyes of an Outsider

Ugh, I should have been blogging.

Instead I have been running, eating ice cream, playing Neopets, doing Algebra homework (way too much, might I add) and wishing it was still Spring Break.

I’ve been practicing with my camera a little. It was really rainy so I was thinking, “Darn it! And I was planning on trying to do some photography.” My mom wanted to go to the Goodwill and other places like that, so I took my camera. (Well, I take it everywhere…) and I ended up getting some surprisingly pretty (yet kinda gloomy) pictures of our town.

There’s two more in my photography gallery thingy. I took lots more but those were the three best. (I like stop signs :o)

While we were downtown we saw this cat that looked exactly like our cat, Petie. It was in the humane society place. We think it might have been a siblingĀ  since one of our friends found Petie abandoned on the road :(

The cat we saw

The cat on the top is the one we saw, and the one on the bottom is Petie :o

This is my ugly, color-clashing and way-too-big track uniform:

And yet I’m extremely proud of it (:

You know what I don’t get?

Our government. Okay, so let’s go and bail out AIG because they’re all rich and stuff and if we don’t then we’re in big trouble. Okay, so they used the money in a stupid way. OKAY, SO DIDN’T YOU JUST GIVE THEM THE MONEY? Don’t you know human nature? Honestly. “Here’s a bunch of money.” “Cool! I’m keeping it~!” Hmm. Yeah. Surprise, surprise.

I also don’t get why Obama is going Jay Leno’s show. I mean, it’s awesome and all…but. Wow. I mean, not the cleanest show for the leader of the free world, hmm? Eh, whatever. It’ll be neat.

I also don’t get Casey Anthony. Okay, so let’s have a kid. Okay, so let’s make it real obvious you killed her. Okay, let’s make it even more obvious by writing about it in your diary. Come on, people! First, don’t kill anyone. Second, don’t bury them so close to your house and look up how to make chloroform on your computer!

And finally, I don’t get why people are so hung up over Misty whatever marrying Haleigh (the little girl who is missing)’s dad. Honestly, find the girl, then freak out because she’s seventeen. Currently, NO ONE SHOULD CARE. The ‘no testifying against your spouse’ thing doesn’t apply in a case where the victim is a child. So please, get over it and find that poor little girl before I kill something.

Yeah, I’ve been watching the news.

Oh and another thing I don’t get: How Adam from American Idol beat Alexis. His version of Johnny Cash made my skin crawl. I could not listen to it.

PS: Coraline was really good. Go see it.
